The Dark Side Diner

Last night, J and I had dinner at a little place next to Columbian Park. While passing the restaurant earlier in the day, we read the sign as saying "Tom's Dark Side Diner." We spent the rest of the drive trying to decide what exactly that meant:

Customer: "But I didn't want my sandwich toasted!"
Darksider: "Ma'am, we use the light saber to slice our sandwiches."

Customer: "This isn't what I ordered."
Darksider: "You wanted a ham and cheese on rye."
Customer: "I wanted a ham and cheese on rye."

"Never underestimate the power of the FISH FRY!"

It wasn't until we came back for an early dinner that we noticed that the sign actually read "Tom's Park Side Diner." While that made a great deal more sense, both J and I were slightly disappointed. But, the onion rings were to die for, so we could forgive the lack of Darth Vader.
